Punta Del Este
Although the town has a year round population of 9,334 (2001), it experiences a tourist explosion each summer between Christmas and the end of January.

Symbols of Punta del Este, "Los Dedos" (the finger), approximately five meters wide and three meters high stone sculpture in the form of a hand, in one of the sandy beaches from the towers.
Nearby seeing is the extravagant, Casa Pueblo called former house of artist Carlos Paéz Vilario, where a museum and an art gallery are located.
